From lively and rhythmic singing and dancing to the display of public welfare clubs’ spirit, from the harmonious performance of Tai Chi to the project roadshows of “Goodwill Ambassadors,” each wonderful performance by the teenagers drew continuous applause from the audience. On the evening of June 30th, the third J&E Dream Charity Show was held at the Roewe Shanghai Children’s Art Theatre in Huangpu District, Shanghai.
The J&E Dream Classroom Project is an award-winning project of the 2024 Youth Visionaries New Star Award. It was founded in October 2019. Through public fundraising, the project connects children from urban and rural areas, as well as from China and the rest of the world, to enhance mutual understanding, foster learning from each other, promote equality and friendship, and support their joint growth.
At the event venue, Li Haifeng, Chairman of the Fosun Foundation, expressed his praise and expectations for Zhang Xinyu, the founder of the J&E project from Wenlai Middle School, and other children who are enthusiastic about public welfare. He said, “I hope that today’s event will encourage more children to learn about and fall in love with public welfare through the Youth Visionaries New Star Award. I am proud of the Youth Visionaries New Star Award project, which has been in China for eleven years. My pride comes from the millions of students like Zhang Xinyu, who have started to engage in public welfare from small things around them, step by step, and whose public welfare actions have received strong support from teachers and parents. What a wonderful next generation! A strong youth makes a strong nation. We believe in the younger generation and also believe in the future of our country.”
At the event site, invited by the Fosun Foundation, the 2024 Youth Visionaries New Star Award “Goodwill Ambassadors” Ke Shengrui and Ye Zheyi shared their public welfare stories and their feelings and gains from attending the global summit in the United States.
